Bees on elastic

Accidental unfortunate habits
[I refuse, for the moment, to write a post about how hot it is]
When coming home after a night shift, I sometimes find it soothing to have Radio 4 on as I fall asleep. I’m not sure why, but somehow the measure voices are just enough to stop my brain whirring about work and not so much that they stop me from sleeping.
However, I have recently discovered a pitfall in this habit. I now seem to fall asleep every time I try to catch up on the latest episode of ISIHAC. It’s not like it’s a dull programme either. It feels wrong when I wake up and realise I’ve missed the whole thing again.
I’ve been sneaking around after hours
What a brilliant end to the day. Odile invited Becky and I to meet her after-hours at her place of work: Kew Gardens. With the sun going down we sat eating strawberries discussing and getting excited about the camp that we are all helping to lead this summer. Bliss.
